The minimum wage is the lowest level paid to workers doing the simplest work, under normal conditions and must ensure the minimum living needs of workers and their families. The minimum wage is determined by month, day, hour and is established by region and industry. The Government announces the regional minimum wage on the basis of recommendations of the National Wage Council (The National Wage Council is an advisory body to the Government, including members who are representatives of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and employers' representative organizations at the Central level).

On November 4, in Co To island district (Quang Ninh province), the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Northern Power Corporation (EVN NPT) to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to bring national grid electricity to Co To island and 5 provinces. The island commune belongs to Van Don district.

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from the beginning of the year until now, due to difficulties in industrial production, electricity used for production decreased, while electricity used for services and residential consumption increased.

In the last 2 months of 2012, Vietnam Electricity Group will basically meet the electricity demand for socio-economic development and people's lives nationwide.
